“Man is a wolf to man,” said Hobbs.

This quote shows that time or place is irrelevant, the fight is the same; one group of people always wins over the other. It is sad to see that today, in the year 2020, mentalities have changed so little and that for many people life is reduced to incessant judgements, infamous and sexist statements.

It is not normal that a woman cannot go out after 8 p.m., in a dress without being assaulted, whistled at or called a whore, and it is not normal that a man is arrested and denigrated on the pretext that he does not have the same social status or the same colour of skin.

Justice must be fair and impartial. However, freedom of expression should not be imprisoned on the grounds that our origins, gender or religion are different from the rest of the world.

So whether you are white, black, gay, straight, humanity is made that way and judgment is everywhere, but it is up to us to show our outrage at this injustice, not by tearing down buildings and burning cars, but by galvanizing the crowds as our predecessors have done in order to be heard by a government that remains silent in the face of this outpouring of solidarity. We all share the same sun, so why can’t we share everything else?
