I just have something important to say. If “black lives matter” bothers you because it doesn’t say “all lives matter” but “blue lives matter” doesn’t bother you, then what really bothers you is the word “black.” And that’s a statement of fact. When people say “black lives matter” they are not saying that ONLY their lives matter. Stop silencing equality for “minorities” in this country. Since kindergarten, I have been reciting the pledge of loyalty; and I keep those words true to my heart! “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic that it represents, a nation under God, indivisible, with freedom and justice for all.” Notice how he says the words “with freedom and JUSTICE FOR ALL”. NEVER in my life have I discriminated against someone because of their race, their culture or their religion. And it’s a shame that I’m living in a world that doesn’t have the same good-spirited mindset. It is heartbreaking to hear that black people (including minorities) are still being treated inhumanely. This country is FILLED with people from other countries and different background cultures and instead of finding that to be unique we rather judge and hate. We may not all be one race, but I believe that we are one nation. When will this hatred end? For how many generations should have to witness this abomination? It’s either we start making a change; for our children (future children, ) grandchildren (future grandchildren) and especially for the future of minority children. Stop racism, stop discrimination, stop judgment (and I mean all judgment as a whole.) I have pride, and I’m going to use my pride to speak out!
