K: Let’s first talk about your studies and your work. You studied law; today though, you are in a completely different register: you are at the head of your own agency “Sandra & Co” specialized in events among other things. Did you want to become a lawyer after your studies? Did you know that one day you would live from your passion for events?
Sandra: My parents are both judicial officers so I wanted to follow in their footsteps. I started my studies in France, then I went to London for a year. When I returned to France, I started to work with Cathy Guetta to pay for my studies. In the end, I realized that I would be better at ‘events’. So I stopped my studies, I stopped school. I didn’t finish, I only did 4 years: so I didn’t graduate. I first created my own production company where I made music videos, documentaries, … It was a great experience.
Your agency “Sandra & Co” is, as we’ve just said, specialized in events. What does “Sandra & Co” do? What does working in events entail? Tell us all about it!
Working in events means organising an event from A to Z. We need to find the place, plan the meals… Then there’s the public relations, that’s the press, the guests etc… “Sandra & Co” specializes in fashion, new places, jewelry, and perfumes. I collaborate with different press spokespersons depending on the projects and also with extra people if we have a lot of work. We don’t sleep much (laughs). I’m going to work for Laurent Gourcuff and take care of his new place: “Le Roxie”. I’m going to be the ambassador. In addition, I’m preparing some surprises for the Cannes Film Festival.
If I’m not mistaken, since 2013, you have the “Suite Sandra & Co” at the Cannes festival. Which celebrity made the biggest impression on you and why?
Oh, there are many. Nicolas Cage, the actor from Spider Man; Willem Dafoe; Marion Cottillard who is a sweetheart; I also met Michael Jackson’s dad, Penelope Cruz and Robert Pattinson. This year, I met the actors of Casa de Papel: Tokyo, Helsinki.
You have also been a commentator in “Il en pense quoi Camille?” for 4 months on C8. Why were you offered the job?
I’ve known Cyril Hanouna for years, he’s a great guy. It was Laurie Cholewa who suggested it to H2O’s director, Phillippe Stoltz. It was a great experience, Camille Combal is really nice and Stéphanie Loire has become one of my friends.
I also found out that you are a ‘celebrity expert.’ Is it just a matter of having a passion for that world and being interested in what’s happening in it or is it more complex than that?
Being a celebrity expert doesn’t mean anything, it’s not a profession. I know a lot of celebrities, I have a good address book but most of them are friends or good acquaintances.
Let’s change the subject a bit. I suggest we talk about your Instagram! Since February 26th 2014, you are very active on the social network. You call your followers, your community, so to speak, your #InstaFriends. Why did you choose that name? In your eyes, are we your virtual friends?
Yes, I think it’s normal not to call you “followers” because I share so much with you. Well, I don’t share everything with you, fortunately, but I do share a lot whether I’m okay or not. You are indeed like virtual friends.
In you, through Instagram, I have found a woman who is always in a good mood, always positive; as if life were a big joke. How do you do it?
My smile is a shield. When I see myself smiling, I tell myself it’s already good.
What are the 3 words that best describe you?
That’s a very difficult question. I’d say… brave. I would say… generous and uh… I would say… annoying! (Laughs)
Thank you very much for answering my questions!
Thank you, it’s a pleasure to answer when the work is so well done.
Don’t forget, if you liked Mrs. Sisley, do not hesitate to go and follow her on Instagram (@sandraandcoparis), I guarantee you joy, madness, love and good mood.
Love youuuu
